I love to be creative whether that is drawing and painting animals, illustrating steampunk inspired clockwork birds, designing patterns for scrapbooking papers or sewing and crocheting.

I opened my first Etsy shop here as a place to sell my artwork - much of my art features my illustrations of the fictional town Hexley. I began to develop Hexley in 2008 as my final project at university and it has stayed with me ever since!
The inspiration for Hexley came from my fasination with the past (particularly the Victorian and Edwardian eras) and a love of designing whimsical steampunk inspired inventions. My Hexley illustrations are set in the late Victorian era from a past that never was; a centre for science and learning it is filled with unusual inventions from Edwin Cracknell's Clockwork Birds to dirigibles.

My illustrations all start life in my sketchbook. The finished artwork is made from a combination of dip pen, ink, watercolour and digital art.
I then use the illustrations to make a range of items from prints and postcards to bookmarks and greeting cards .
